Feel Good Fashion & Beauty Tips
The countdown to Christmas is on! We spent a fabulous few days in London this week which got me into the festive mood, and the house is being prepped for our annual Christmas party - I hope you’re also in the spirit to celebrate with your loved ones!
I’m rounding up this week’s Feel Good Fashion & Beauty favourites from my content on Instagram!
Postcards from... Marlborough 🙋🏼♀️
I feel so lucky to live on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border, with easy access to London and surrounded by beautiful countryside and some great towns - such as the charming Marlborough, which is only 25 minutes away from home.
Marlborough has so much to offer, it is absolutely full of charming independent boutiques selling everything from antiques to gifts, and of course plenty of clothes!
One of my favourites is always Aspiga for their quality, design and sustainability. Here are a few snippets from my recent visit, meanwhile here are a few more of my favourite spots:
The Parade Cinema, totally indepemdent in an old Chapel full of swishy sofas and serving food and wine to sip as you enjoy your film.
The White Horse book shop is lovely, it's also an art shop and I love to pop in as the staff are always so welcoming!
Bunces provide the best coffee and cake in town, meanwhile La Bobina have amazing Spanish tapas and cocktails.
If you want to stay, I recommend The Farm at Avebury, near the ancient and mystical stones - boutique accommodation at it's best!

Because once I start..... I just can’t stop! 💫🤦🏼♀️
Resharing an oldie but a goodie - I am a self-confessed mince pie addict, so have to seriously restrain myself in December as once those spicy yet sweet floodgates open.... baby I’m all in! 😹
What’s your festive food addiction?!

Want to feel more in your clothes this Christmas? ✨
You are not alone - I have had countless messages from you recently, reaching out because you feel you have lost your way. I just need to say that firstly you are NOT alone, and secondly - I have totally been there myself, when the children were very young, I had stopped working and moved out of London and I had totally lost my sense of self 💛
I have come a long way since then and you can too - but for now -let’s focus on some quick wins that will give you a little sartorial boost this festive season:
⭐️ The most powerful part of your whole outfit is the colour - spend time getting this right. If you are unsure, hold it up against a clean natural face with your hair back in natural daylight and watch what happens to the shadows, the redness, the fine lines, your skin tone - is it flattering?
⭐️ Don’t go out in anything that’s a bit tight. You will wriggle and be uncomfortable and self conscious. Sizing up usually makes you look slimmer - so please please forget the label and wear something that fits.
⭐️ Spend a bit of extra time on your hair and makeup, try a pop of brighter lippy, a joyful party earring or statement necklace, or borrow a beautiful party bag that just screams ‘festive’ - all little boosts that don’t cost the earth to implement.
⭐️ Finally - choose some underwear that makes you feel sexy - yes sexy! This is literally laying the foundation for the rest of the night and how you feel about yourself... which will radiate out and ultimately be the first thing people see anyway!
Remember - you deserve it! 🙌🏼

When you love your new bag so much, you take it out on the town!
Had to dedicate a little post to this gorgeous Fairfax and Favor bag, which has been the perfect addition to my dopamine-dressing outfit - as I needed all the colour to get me through this week as I had the lurgy over the weekend.
We are staying at the fabulous L’oscar London which I can highly recommend and are treating ourselves to some fabulous exhibitions (shared on stories) as well as taking the kids to see Les Mis tonight, as they've never seen it.
And this little bag has gone from day to night and worked with every outfit.

Does your look lack a little something? ✨
So many clients come to me feeling that they look boring. Here’s 4 easy ways to give your look a lift:
1 - Switch up the accessories
More often than not, a look just hasn’t been finished. Spending a few moments adding the little details in terms of jewellery, a belt, scarf or headband can add interest and make a good outfit into a great one. Never underestimate the power of accessories to transform the most basic of wardrobes into something special - it’s something I encourage my clients to invest in all the time 👌🏼
2 - Play with colour
Are you stuck in a colour rut? Do you wear the same old shades all the time? Are you sure that they are really working for you? Changing up the colour has the biggest impact of all and can really change the feel of an outfit, with the added benefit of boosting your mood and complexion too! You don’t have to go big, a bright handbag or a pop of zingy earrings can change the whole feel of an outfit, and there’s nothing quite like a bright blazer jacket to put a spring in your step and give you more confidence too! If you need some inspiration go back over

3 - Consider your silhouette
If you have always remained faithful to the same old shapes, why not try something new? Always worn skinnies? Experiment with a boot leg. Live in floaty dresses? Try adding a belt. I promise you will be surprised at the results. Try to mix up the balance of larger and more streamlined pieces to keep the look modern.
4 - Go for the contrasts
Often the best outcomes evolve from the most unlikely combinations, and this applies to your wardrobe too. Try mixing pieces from the smarter ‘out out’ section of your wardrobe (eg silk blouse) with the everyday more casual section (eg ripped jeans and trainers) for a more exciting look.
5 - Add a layer
Layers add depth and detail to your look - think visible cuffs or collars, or hems of underlying garments peeking through!
6 - Play with texture
Different textures create a contrast which captures attention 💫 Try mixing textures like silk and wool, or denim and leather!

Home - and pooped - from just the loveliest couple of days in London celebrating Christmas with my family ❤️
After a lot of work - and a touch of sickness - it felt really special to be in town just for fun - and that’s exactly what we had, in spades!
We stayed at L’Oscar near Holborn, which was an easy walk to wherever we needed and was decorated beautifully ✨
Highlights include Frameless (if you didn’t catch my stories, I’ll be doing another post on this)
The Gucci Cosmos exhibition (ends soon)
The Moonwalkers exhibition Lightroom (particularly great for the boys)
Ice skating Somerset House
And finally Les Mis - I haven’t seen it for years, and it’s just as good, take your tissues 😅
Just the loveliest time, with lots of wonderful memories and photos that will last forever - isn’t that what Christmas is about?!
Definitely getting into the spirit now! 🎄
