Fringing is back! Fringing is a huge trend this season and frankly… I’m here for it. It’s a little bit boho and it’s a little bit fabulous. Whether you want festival chic or just a new injection of summer style, fringing can provide you with just that. Here are some of my favourites...
Mia Dangle Earrings by Free People
One word, need, not want, need!! It was my birthday last week and I just had to treat myself to these - absolutely gorgeous. A linear earring of any type will elongate your neck and make your face look slimmer. Go for a colour that is not too close to your natural skin tone for the most flattering look.
After Hours Fringe Denim Jacket by Free People
Love this too, did I tell you I was here for this trend? Keep the rest of your outfit super simple to avoid looking like a cowgirl. I’d team this with boyfriend jeans and this seasons chunky boot, just lovely. If you haven’t tried double denim yet, what are you waiting for?!
Leather Fringe Midi Skirt by & Other Stories
Love, love, love! Same rules apply, keep the rest of your outfit pared back. This is particularly great if you are either strawberry (larger bust or larger shoulders) or hourglass framed as the volume and detail of the fringing at the bottom of the skirt will balance out your silhouette.
Fringe Knit Sweater by & Other Stories
Whilst we’re talking body shapes, if you lean towards pear, so are larger around your hips and thighs, the detail on this sweater will broaden your top half. This may sound counterintuitive but it’s actually what you want as it will make your waist look even tinier. Pair with other neutral pieces for a tonal look.
Tip: I love tones of cream, white and ivory together.
Fringe knit cape by Mango
For a more classic look, this cape is perfect and can be layered under or over other outer layers. Try it over a biker jacket or blazer and under a trench coat for example. I have something very similar and swear by it for plane travel.
Embellished Sheer Midaxi dress by ASOS
Need something glam? This dress ticks all the boxes. I’d definitely take this on a glitzy holiday, wear it in the evening towards the beginning, then use it as a kaftan for poolside glamour later in the holiday.
Beaded Fringed Woven Halter Top by Karen Millen
I realise this isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, but if you have the figure for it - just wow! This is a perfect out out top. Wear something tight, fitted and black on your bottom half and then shimmy and shake the night away.
Lemoney Fringed Woven Sliders by Dune
A subtle take on the fringing trend, perfect for the summer which I hope will be warm. Love the ombre here, and neutral enough to go with most outfits.
Indie Fringed Shoulder Bag by Russell & Bromley
Love the idea of a silver day bag, it brings a clean modern edge to this trend. Metallic is also a neutral so it will go with absolutely everything. No need to match your shoes!
The Mina Ankle Boot by Mar y Viento
It wouldn’t be a fringing fashion faves without a cowboy boot. I have several pairs of these and I can say hand on my heart, they are so comfortable. Leg flattering, stylish and can be worn with everything from denim cut off shorts to a fabulous frock - enjoy!
