Happy Friday my loves! Since we last touched base, I have had the time of my life at Glastonbury Festival staying at the incredible Camp Kerala - followed by a very much needed few days of resting and resetting my body!

Confession time ladies - I was in it!
I was happy enough, but styling my hair the same old way every day.
Then I received this Amory London Mayfair Styler, with not 1 but 4 different wand attachments, with which you can create so many different looks and it’s easy to say - I’m in love! 🧚
This is me experimenting with it. I couldn’t decide which type of curl I liked best so I ended up doing some of each for a mixed up look! ⭐️

For the love of 🐈⬛ 🦮 🐔 🐴
When I first met my husband Justin I owned no less than 7 cats and lived in a garden flat in North London.
Every time I had a breakup, I'd get another one... or two... until I turned into a mad cat lady in my early 30s.
My Dad actually offered Justin money to try and persuade me to part with some of them - true story! I think he thought the presence of so many fur babies made me totally ineligible for marriage material. 😂
I have always related well to animals. Often preferring them to human company. Like so many of us I was bullied at school and found spending time with the four-legged or feathery ones grounding as they never judge, just love (unless you're our Cockerel Donald of course, feisty bugger).
I always used to say that if I had one wish, it would be to be able to talk to animals, but these days I feel like I almost can... ✨
This is why I live amongst a menagerie of 3 cats, 3 dogs and 3 chickens, and have a long animal wish-list which includes a pair of rescue donkeys and a parrot. 🦜
It's also why I have always spoken up for them. They are innocence and voiceless and so many need our help.
You may not know that I am a trustee for DASH Dogs Rescue - the largest dog shelter in Greece. We are back out there very soon, so I'll tell you all about it then, but it's a fantastic charity run almost single-handedly by earth-angel Katerina. Another incredible organisation which does fantastic work is @allseatedinabarn, who rescue horses and donkeys from slaughter houses at heartbreaking auctions in the US. Both charities have created a wonderful sanctuary for very traumatised animals and I am so grateful for the work they do and wish I could only do more.

I can't tell you how many times I hear this phrase... so many of my clients come to me with this and I totally understand. This is often linked to reaching mid-life and not really knowing where they fit in fashion-wise any more, often their body shape has changed too and they just don't know how to dress.

1. Hiding in baggy, shapeless clothes? If you are self-conscious of your new shape and unsure how to dress for it, then you may be tempted to hide away in oversized clothing which leaves you looking bigger and more shapeless than ever before. I am here to tell you that great style is all about proportion NOT size, so working with a stylist to learn how to make the most of your figure (it's all an optical illusion anyway) can be priceless 💫
2. Wearing the same old thing every day or stuck in a style rut? Are you unsure about some of the trendier, new styles and wary of being called 'mutton dressed as lamb'? - I HATE that phrase by the way - so many of my clients just don't know where to place themselves on the fashion landscape anymore, so develop a 'safe but boring' style uniform that ticks the boxes but is uninspiring. Sometimes just a few simple tweaks can make a huge difference - trying an on-trend oversized blazer rather than a more dated fitted one, experimenting with a flare or bootcut jean... a few well-chosen accessories - it's always the little things that make the biggest impact ⭐️
3. Wearing the same hairstyle and makeup as you did 10 years ago? Don't forget hair and makeup! This is just as important as the clothes you are wearing - as we get older, we often look better with softer styles and more natural makeup.... having said that, sometimes a slick of the perfect bright lipstick really can be all you need to give your complexion a glow and put a spring in your step! ✨

Glasto highlights... 💫
Following 6 days of camping, Rokkstar-ing, and generally having the most wonderful time, my body doesn't quite know what's hit it, and I'm taking a little bit of time to reintegrate into normal life and adjust back to the pace of things again ✨
Many thanks to the fabulous Camp Kerala for having Rokkstar and HybO2 - and for the most wonderful, memorable weekend. I have watched Glastonbury on the telly for years, and to be in front of that Pyramid Stage in person, as the sun was setting watching legends such as Guns N Roses and Elton John play felt nothing short of magical 🧚
Please take this as your personal reminder to make dedicated time to do those things that really truly light you up... I'm a self-confessed workaholic - and I'm really lucky to love what I do - but following several days of being utterly hedonistic I have a smile on my face and a glow from within that will take a long time do fade 😊
Fun batteries fully charged... now to allow the body to catch up!
Special thanks to @dee_jodel for being the best co-conspirator/spaceman/witch Rokkstar could wish for, the HybO2, including @mauricemcdonagh, Stephen and Paul for working so bloody hard keeping everyone (including myself) on their best festival form thanks to our wonderful Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers and finally a huge thank you to my Festival bestie and bodyguard @olliegabriel for such great company, special memories and possibly the best (and funniest) festival boogie ever - oh and you are officially fired from map-reading after we were lost for about 3 hours trying to stagger back to camp very early yesterday morning! 😂

When I gave up on my acting career and moved to Hampshire to have a family with all the labrador and Audi cliches that come with it, never did I dream that I would still get to express myself creatively by being part of then most exciting industry on the planet!
