Feel Good Fashion & Beauty Tips

Have you changed up your wardrobe for Autumn yet? If you answered no, then now is the right time to do it as the weather is rapidly changing here in the UK turning into sweater weather.

I have been sharing my favourite styling hacks and tips on how to transition to you autumn wardrobe - so I’m rounding up this week’s Feel Good Fashion & Beauty favourites from my content on Instagram!

Styling Tip

Got a bit of a tummy? Or maybe you have no waist and are just straight up and down like me?!

Steer well clear of elasticated trousers - they are not your friend... you want flat-fronted ones instead... OR... just add a flowy, long line topper or 'third piece' like this stunning silk Kimono and you are good to go!

Extra tip - adding extra details such as layered necklaces and a shoulder pad also helps to elongate your frame and draw the eye away from any wobbly bits!

The world is hurting and our heads are spinning 🤯 💔

Unthinkable atrocities are happening all over the Middle East and it's breaking our hearts.
For once, my usual message of self-love, fashion and beauty just doesn't cut it, instead we pause. We pause our own privileged lives to grieve, to send whispered prayers of hope and peace, to feel our own aching hearts and send all of our love over to Israel, to Palestine, and to other places in the world where there is similar suffering which is not widely reported.

I will never begin to understand the motives for such unspeakable acts, and I'm not going to attempt to get remotely political, but I do know that there is immeasurable pain and suffering, more than most of us could ever comprehend, and that the darkness in some areas of the world seems simply unfathomable when we are surrounded by so much relative beauty and light.

As I sit here and watch the autumn sun set out of my windows, I feel compelled to appreciate every tiny detail of this charmed, privileged life I lead, to thank the universe that I was one of the lucky ones to be born in a 'stable' country, and to pray for peace and swift, sweet relief for the tortured souls who are living lives currently worse than our most dreaded nightmares.

Keeping my frequency high and my heart chakra open to bring in the light.

Not really sure what else to say here, but like many of you, tears have been shed today, but we owe it to these wretched people to live the hell out of our lucky lives whilst they are trapped in theirs.

World Mental Health Day

It's so much harder when we think to 'just' be ourselves.

There is no much 'noise' out there, especially on social media, and it's so very easy to lose ourselves, both on a personal style level and on a far deeper one - the two are of course so very interconnected.

Just because a creator on here is doing well looking or being a certain way, doesn't mean that way is right for you, I'm talking fashion, beauty, career, parenting styles - the lot!

This little app is fantastic for inspiration, for sharing ideas, but we need to remember to check in with ourselves to see if they are right for us.

We are all so different - and that is a gift - being YOU is your superpower, nobody else's.

It takes courage and strength to truly 'be ourselves' in todays world, and it starts with authentically expressing yourself through what you wear.

Remember the most attractive style, the most powerful is the most authentic - that's when you shine, become magnetic - anything else is just a weak imitation.

How to wear waistcoats

By popular request, here's your guide on how to get down and dirty with the waistcoat - one of the hottest trends this season, and one that you won't want to miss out on 💫

They are surprisingly versatile, very flattering, and quite frankly, a blooming' handy piece in most wardrobes, so I'm all in... and as I only advocate investing in new garments unless they can be worn multiple different ways, here's all the advice you need on how to make them work for you.

Buy less, buy better... this applies to accessories too 💫

I have absolutely fallen in love with this little bag from such a great British brand Radley - it feels classic, vintage inspired and a little bit different all at the same time.

It's been to New York with me, to Spain, and shows no signs of being packed away this Autumn, I love how the chain comes off and it makes the perfect clutch too 😍

Great fashion should bring us joy, our clothing and accessories, if we get them right, should make us happy - and quite simply this little bag of joy, which is currently in the sale by the way (don't worry I've linked it on stories) makes me very happy indeed.

Sometimes it's all about the details, right?!
