Feel Good Fashion & Beauty Tips
Jeans too small? Here’s a top tip!
If like me, your clothes are feeling a little bit snug, I’m sharing an invaluable tip to help stretch your jeans without stretching your budget in my Fashion Reel over on Instagram!
How are you feeling now the festivities are over? Relieved? Sad?
I used to hate January and get a severe case of the post Christmas blues, but now I relish it and use it as an opportunity to rest a little, reflect and refocus on my goals for the year ahead.
I found keeping a gratitude diary so useful, and it’s something that I practice every single day that is a total game changer. It might feel corny at first, but once you get into the habit it really, really helps lift your mood.
Top tip! Start with the little things! Simple pleasures such as the first sip of morning coffee or freshly washed sheets on the bed... give it a go! 💫
My personal goal for this month is to clean up my nutritional act after all the sweet treats of Christmas and befriend my hormones again.
I’ve had a bit of a challenge with my health for years, Lyme Disease, Big car crash etc, and I now have been told I’ve got stage 3 adrenal fatigue and an under active thyroid... so my dear old body is crying out for a bit of TLC 💗
I used to panic about a ‘health diagnosis’ such as this, but now I just see it as a reminder that things are out of balance, that it’s time to tune in, connect and redress the lifestyle a little bit... it could be far far worse!
SO, after a little bit of deliberation I’m starting the Human Being Diet by the lovely Petronella Ravenshear as a bit of a reset - more on stories - I’ll keep you posted!!

It Could Be You.
We had the absolute honour of volunteering at a fantastic local homeless shelter - the Winchester Beacon on Christmas Day and this is what we learned:
It absolutely could be any of us - most of us are only one or two months salaries away from being homeless ourselves and it doesn’t take much for the system to come tumbling down around your ears and leave you on the streets.
It’s not who you think - people from all walks of life and all careers find themselves in this situation, Winchester has a particularly high population of homelessness because it is one of the most expensive places to live in the uk, and people are struggling.
It’s not why you think - yes, there are people there who are battling addiction, but there are also people who have simply made one ill-judged decision, people who have broken up from their partners and simply have nowhere to go, or people that have escaped a horrific situation at home.
You get into shelters like the Beacon via the Council, and there is a long waiting list. The shelter stays open to help those who are not as fortunate as the residents, handing out hot drinks, blankets and giving advice.
The Government has proved (during you know what) that everyone could be taken off the UK streets if there was a concerted effort...
Thankfully, there is a severe weather emergency protocol, so that in extreme cold or heat, everyone that needs shelter, gets it.
All the different organisations such as the shelters, Salvation Army, Shelter, Crisis and the food banks all talk to each other and help each other out.
If you are worried about anyone in particular who is sleeping rough, you can contact Streetlink and they will assist you.
Finally - your local shelters are always grateful for food, clothing and volunteers of all kinds - why not see if you can help them? ✨

Meghan Markle’s Style And Colour Psychology
Why Meghan needed to spread her rainbow wings 🌈
There is no doubt that neutrals can be super-chic and a ‘safer’ option for some, but there’s nothing quite like vivid colour to put a spring in your step, lift your complexion and boost your mood, just as Meghan showed us during her last week of Royal Duties.
It’s the perfect pick me up for the January blues... that, a decent blow dry and a slick of your favourite lippy 💄
Give it a go!

The Real Me This January
Here's to being vulnerable, and keeping things utterly real on here.
Firstly, I've put on almost 2 stone in the last 3 months (thankfully I know how to hide it, and even more importantly how to lose it), I haven't bothered with my self tan in weeks and am a choice shade of pasty, my hair extensions are driving me crazy - are just desperate to be redone and I cannot make it look nice for more than 5 minutes, so I'm walking around in a permanent messy bun.
After thoroughly enjoying myself over the festive season, my hormones are doing a bender this month and making me feel just a little unhinged.... luckily I know this too shall pass, and have my little SOS routine to help me through the trickier days.
I am embracing all things gratitude, meditation and loving my daily yoga with Adrienne on YouTube - I dread to think where I'd be without this little daily routine that helps me stop and appreciate all the magic there is to be found in each day.
I've been given one of the biggest career boosts of my life, with an opportunity with the Daily Mail and I am driving myself potty in a nail biting cycle of self-doubt, fear, procrastination and then jubilation when things go right....
And yet, despite all these things, I feel the happiest and most content I think I have ever been.
You have seen many versions of me on here, and I thank you sincerely for sticking with me, as I experiment with wearing my many different freelance 'hats' to bring you content I think you will like... but I realise as I reflect, that this may not have always been the right reason.
Lots of people like to choose a word to sum up the new year, but to me there are several; 2023 is about vulnerability, stepping into the unknown, truth, and personal growth.
I have learned that the downs of life (and the ones listed above are merely trifles) simply make this rollercoaster ride even more exhilarating, and I'm slowly learning to go with the flow of it all, while listening for those precious whispers from my heart, which tell me what is truly aligned and what isn't.
So, to start, this is the real me, at this moment in time. Embracing and loving all my many faults, whilst showing myself as much kindness as possible - whilst hoping that you do the same.
With love as always,
Miranda xxx
